TECHNOLOGY SUMMARY
This syrup technology provides a process for the production of syrups by pretreatment and hydrolysis of starch and cellulosic waste. Its use allows the recycling of these residues into raw materials: sugar syrups.
This leads to the recovery of around 70% to 90% of waste. Reduces the costs associated with the disposal of residues, purchase of syrups and allows the elaboration of such components in house.
Furthermore, this technology provides additional accuracy and traceability for the characterisation and analysis of the composition of the syrups used in the production process.
BENEFITS
- Use of agroindustrial waste, (starch and lignocellulose) for the production of sugar syrups
- Optimisation of the pretreatment
process, leading to savings in the production costs of the syrups - Resource efficiency , transformation of waste into raw materials and increase in the supply of syrups
- Adaptable production, acording to customer
APPLICATIONS
Some specific markets which might employ this technique are:
- Agri-food industry
- Forestry
TAGs
- Syrup production
- Cellulosic waste
- Agri-food industry
- Sugar syrup
- Glucose syrup
