Description of the organization

YouNoodle is a Silicon Valley based virtual startup engagement company. Since 2010, our technology has powered startup programs run by both governments and corporations, such as Start-Up Chile and Amazon’s Alexa AI challenge. Other clients include Cisco, Twitter, Marriott, Verizon, and Booking.com.

Through our technology, accelerators are not bound by physical spaces, borders, visa requirements, and organizations are able to run global programs completely virtually, including access to 200,000 startups and 19,000 mentors from 180 countries on YouNoodle.

In addition, YouNoodle was the sourcing, selection, and mentoring platform behind We-MENA, the female founder acceleration program across the Middle East and North Africa, run as part of the World Bank’s Women For Resilience program in 2017.

Professional profile

Torsten has corporate innovation in his DNA. Born into a family of management consultants, Torsten very early on was exposed to the value of startups and their role in innovation in corporations. A bioinformatics engineer by training, Torsten co-founded YouNoodle in 2010, a technology platform to source, select and engage the most promising startups in the world.

Prior to YouNoodle, Torsten ran Denmark’s largest startup engagement program, Venture Cup, has judged startup programs at Stanford University, MIT, and Imperial College, and has written opinion pieces for both Wall Street Journal and Entrepreneur Magazine. Torsten is an advisor to a number of startups, and an investor in two venture funds. He is a frequent speaker on corporate innovation, and on how governments can spur ecosystem growth through global startup engagement.
