TECHNOLOGY SUMMARY

This technology relates to a process for manufacturing Microencapsulated Phase-Change materials. It consists in a version of the already known spray drying technique that has been improved and optimized.

BENEFITS

  • Surface protection: This technology protects metal surfaces from some chemical reactions which commonly occur in similar situations, such as microbial influenced corrosion or hydrogenase-caused depolarization.
  • Cleansed fuel: Through the elimination of existent microorganisms and further by preventing from their appearance, it avoids organic accumulation and sludge formation, resulting in a clearer fuel in the entire volume. This fact allows for conservation of fuel properties, besides a proper performance of additives.
  • Improved performance, with no accumulation neither deposits along the fuel flow, engine wear and corrosion no longer occur as previously. Besides a better engine maintenance, a decrease in filter plugging drives to a less restricted flow, improving final performance.

APPLICATIONS

The materials manufactured with this technology are useful for thermal conditioning in a great variety of sectors, such as:

  • Construction
  • Automotive
  • Textile
  • Electronics
  • Telecommunications
